    9 ½ Weeks (1986) is an interesting film, but the conclusion is not satisfying. It makes the whole film seem less significant, with critic Julie Salamon saying it reminded her of a perfume advert. The truth is, the best ending of the film was left on the cutting room floor.

    I always find dressing up for special occasions a delight. The ritual of dressing; laying out the outfit, applying the makeup and the final touches were all familiar. But adding this much leather to my costume was new. I was headed to a 1920’s themed kink party, the first play party I’d ever been to.
